Someone tried to copy our game >:(!

UPDATE: The fake game page has been removed, presumably by itch moderators. Thank you for keeping this place safe and sound!

Hi all!

Just a quick update to inform you all: last night, some super-duper sketchy account by the name of PremiumGames created a fake Endling game page on itch, copying our content one-to-one. This was done without our knowledge or consent. Worse yet, the download link on that page seems to redirect visitors to some external site - do not press it! The sketchiness meter is off the charts. We have contacted the moderators of itch and expect the page to be taken down shortly.

Again, do not click on or download anything from that page! Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but on the internet that's rarely the case. The original, authentic, and only game page for Endling is and always will be this one: https://03gle.itch.io/endling

You know what they say: "If it ain't 03gle, it's ugly!" Commit this to heart and stay safe!

In the immortal words of Tim Heidecker: "Premium? More like creamium!"

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to AlphaBetaGamer for making us aware of the situation. We owe a lot to Calum and the other folks at ABG; not just for warning us, but for giving Endling a chance and presenting the game to the world! Every day of the week, the connoisseurs of AlphaBetaGamer upload a new video, spotlighting some overlooked or up-and-coming indie gem brimming with potential.

You can check out their awesome YouTube channel right here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXKNiazqmuUi9CeX_kyDpjw - it's the perfect place for discovering the next big (or small) thing!

That is all for now. Thanks to everyone for being awesome, leaving comments, ratings, constructive criticism, and kind words of encouragement. Remember to stay safe - both online and offline!

It's sad when people copy another person's work and try to pass it off as their own.

This happened last year to a developer. Reported to the developer and it got removed about a month later. The developer used to sell their game and put it up for free for a while and someone copied their Itch page and game and renamed the game and was selling it.

This also happened to another Itch developer, they have a game here on Itch. Some scammer took their game and put it on the Windows store and was selling it. After reports to Microsoft by the developer and people, the game was removed from Windows Store.

Sadly, some people are scammers and will take another developers game and make a fake page making people believe they developed the game. Or as what happened to the other developer, a person took their game and sold it on Microsoft store and tried to claim that they developed it.
